During the winter I like to Go to the Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place, the Flower and Garden Show at Navy Pier and if you haven't been to the Norge Ski Jump competition in Fox River Grove in late January it is worth going to at least once. I also love the St Patrick's Day Parade in Chicago and the fun time afterwords. During the Summer: Ribfest Naperville always has top musicians and the Taste of Chicago is a must see. It does get kinda crowded on the weekends, so I try to go on a weekday. Summerfest Milwaukee (Although not in Chicago) is a great alternative and is very reasonably priced. For around $20 you can go from stage to stage and see all your favorite bands. Taste of Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park is great for the twenty somethings and Summer on Southport is always a great time! I usually visit Goebbert Pumpkin Farm in South Barrington in Fall, Scarecrow Fest St Charles is awesome, and in recent years I have visited Pumpkin Fest in Highwood on the North Shore which is really a treat. You can view thousands of carved pumpkins on display throughout the town.
